Data Backup Responsibility

Before booking your computer or IT system into a repair with Goldmaster IT, it is essential to take the following precautions to protect your data:

1. Data Backup Responsibility: It is the client’s sole responsibility to perform a complete backup of any critical data. Including photos, videos, documents, & any other important files. Not limited to, software installers, licence keys, bookmarks, web login passwords prior to the computer’s pickup for repair.
   
   
2. Inquiries Welcome: If you are uncertain about how to back up your data or need assistance with the backup process, please do not hesitate to ask our team. Goldmaster IT is committed to minimising the risk of data loss, & we are here to help you make informed decisions regarding your data.
   

While Goldmaster IT takes every precaution to safeguard your data during a repair process, we cannot guarantee against unforeseen circumstances. Customer Preferences & Default Data Transfer

If a hard drive upgrade is needed, Goldmaster IT strives to meet your specific needs during the process. To ensure a smooth transition, please take note of the following:

1. Client Responsibility: It’s your responsibility to clearly communicate preferences regarding software & data transfer during a hard drive upgrade. If you require a like-for-like setup, or hard drive cloned, please inform Goldmaster IT when requesting the service. Your old hard drive will then be securely formatted to prevent any possible data recovery attempts, before being disposed of.
   
   
2. Default Data Transfer: If you don’t provide explicit instructions for data transfer, it is understood that the following will be transferred by default:

• Passwords
• Bookmarks
• Licence keys
• Wi-Fi login passwords
• Data such as photos, videos, & documents
  
  

3. Software Installation: The customer should specify any software they want to be installed & transferred during the upgrade. Goldmaster IT will make every effort to accommodate these requests. However, when appropriate, Goldmaster IT may install open-source or more suitable software alternatives unless otherwise directed by you.
   
   

By default, if no specific instructions are provided, Goldmaster IT will aim to create a functional & secure system, considering your best interests.

Goldmaster IT Limited Liability for Outdated Software & Hardware

Goldmaster IT acknowledges that using outdated or unsupported software or hardware can pose security risks, including exposure to malware, viruses, adware, & ransomware. To ensure transparency & clarity, Goldmaster IT have established the following terms regarding our liability in such situations:

1. Warning & Advisory Notice: Goldmaster IT is committed to the security & well-being of our clients. Goldmaster IT will promptly inform you of any security vulnerabilities or discontinuation of software or hardware that may impact your system(s). Goldmaster IT will then strongly advise you to upgrade to more secure & supported alternative(s), which Goldmaster IT can accommodate.
   
   
2. Client Responsibility: While Goldmaster IT does provide recommendations & guidance, the decision to upgrade or continue using outdated software or hardware ultimately rests with you. Goldmaster IT cannot compel you to take specific actions regarding your system(s).
   
   
3. Limited Liability: Goldmaster IT cannot be held liable for any damages, whether emotional or financial, arising from the use of discontinued or unsupported software or hardware, including but not limited to malicious malware infections, data loss, or system disruption.
   

To best help our clients, we may sometimes install remote access software, mesh central. Particularly on new setups, reinstalled or cloned systems. This is a free & open source self-hosted remote access software. Unlike other remote access software, this runs only on our own infrastructure, in house.

Digital Media Content Creation Terms

By choosing to utilise any website, social media, or digital content creation service or product provided or designed by Goldmaster IT, you agree to adhere to the following terms & conditions:

1. Compliance with UN Convention on Human Rights: Your content must not aid, abet, or engage in activities that violate the principles outlined in the United Nations Convention on Human Rights. This includes, but is not limited to, content that promotes discrimination, hatred, violence, or harm against individuals or groups based on their race, religion, gender, nationality, or other protected characteristics.
   
   
2. Prohibition of Malicious Content: Your content must not be used for the purpose of deceptive practices, spreading viruses, malware, or any other malicious activities. This includes, but is not limited to, content that may harm or compromise the security of users’ devices or data.
   
   
3. Accuracy & Transparency: You are responsible for the accuracy & truthfulness of the information presented in your digital media content. Deceptive, fraudulent, or false representations are strictly prohibited.
   
   
4. Treatment of Web3 Content & NFTs: Web3 content, including NFTs, created by you or Goldmaster IT is automatically placed in the public domain. Anyone is allowed to right-click & save web3 content & NFTs without the need for attribution. Goldmaster IT relinquishes all rights associated with these assets, & they are freely accessible for public use & distribution.
   
   
5. Privacy & Data Protection: When collecting & using personal data through your digital media content, you must comply with all relevant data protection laws & regulations. You are responsible for clearly communicating your data collection & usage practices to users & obtaining any necessary consents.
   
   

6. Not Safe for Work (NSFW) Content Prohibition Goldmaster IT strictly prohibits the use of any content created through our services for not safe for work (NSFW) purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation, distribution, or promotion of explicit content, materials, or activities. Goldmaster IT reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if it is determined that our services are being used for NSFW purposes.

7. Monitoring & Compliance: Goldmaster IT reserves the right to monitor & assess your content for compliance with these terms, as well as provide routine maintenance such as software updates or fine-tuning when & where needed. In the event of non-compliance, Goldmaster IT may take appropriate actions, including the removal or suspension of services.
   
   
8. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify & hold Goldmaster IT harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your content or its use.
   
   

Any encounters with bugs or issues in third-party open source products used for content creation, communication, or any other purposes, whether personal or business, including emails & texts, may be shared with third-party developers to improve open source products & services, & to address bugs & issues. Goldmaster IT will make reasonable efforts to redact personal information when necessary, but cannot be held responsible for any data leaks that may occur during the collaboration with open source developers.

Shop Terms
By placing an offer, making a bid or buying any listed items, you commit to obtaining the item. If you engage in any time-wasting actions, such as placing a bid or order and subsequently cancelling it, or if, after a certain number of days, a buyer has not made the payment (unless communication has occurred), you will be reported to eBay.
